How do quantum computers function?

Image
How Do Quantum Computers Work? Quantum computers  perform calculations based on the probability of an object's state before it is measured - instead of just 1s or 0s - which means they have the potential to process exponentially more data compared to classical computers. A quantum computer resting in a specialized lab. Classical computers carry out logical operations using the definite position of a physical state. These are usually binary, meaning its operations are based on one of two positions. A single state - such as on or off, up or down, 1 or 0 - is called a  bit . In quantum computing, operations instead use the quantum state of an object to produce what's known as a  qubit . These states are the undefined properties of an object before they've been detected, such as the spin of an electron or the polarization of a photon. Rather than having a clear position, unmeasured quantum states occur in a mixed 'superposition', not unlike a coin

5G makes its move in the UK!

5G networks such as EE can deliver impressive speeds – but only outdoors at present                                                 Photograph: The Guardian T he future of mobile phones is finally here. You can go out and buy a 5G phone, and if you happen to be in one of the  six cities across the UK ( London , Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh, Birmingham, and Manchester)  in which EE’s 5G network  is up and running, you can get the blistering mobile broadband speeds we’ve been promised will revolutionize our mobile lives, again. But should you? I’ve spent the past two weeks equipped with the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G on first-out-of-the-gate EE’s  5G  network. I streamed 2K HDR movies, downloaded whole albums in seconds and generally used it like I would on my extremely fast 350Mbps home wifi – data caps be damned. So what is 5G like, and is it worth buying into? The answer to both those questions is … complicated.   Speeds

How government can encourage innovation within a country?

Image
Encouraging innovation within a country: Several different government policies can increase the incentives to innovate, including guaranteeing intellectual property rights, government assistance with the costs of research and development, and cooperative research ventures between universities and companies. Intellectual Property Rights One way to increase new technology is to guarantee the innovator an exclusive right to that new product or process.  Intellectual property  rights include patents, which give the inventor the exclusive legal right to make, use, or sell the invention for a limited time, and copyright laws, which give the author an exclusive legal right over works of literature, music, film/video, and pictures. For example, if a pharmaceutical firm has a  patent  on a new drug, then no other firm can manufacture or sell that drug for twenty-one years unless the firm with the patent grants permission. Without a patent, the pharmaceutical firm would have to face compe

My Personal Description and Introduction

Today, I am going to tell you guys a little story of why I decided to write a blog. It was my 15th birthday and I was quite excited about it. It was totally unexpected that my father would be gifting a laptop. Anyway, I blew my 15th candle and there it was a dream come true. It was an overwhelming experience and emotional. I thanked my father as much as I could. On the same night, I brainstormed about using this laptop to do something positive. I thought, and thought, and thought when suddenly an idea came to me. Blogging as I noticed was lucrative and an easy way to make money, therefore, I decided to start a blogging page, which will educate you (those who are reading) and others simultaneously. As a full-time student in the middle - school, I'll try my best to post a blog weekly and at times it may be difficult to manage, but not posting is not an option at all.  As for the blog, it's going to talk about all technology-related stuff. Be it AI (Artificial Intelligen
